The Quiet Return

Norma kneels at her bedside with eyes closed and hand over heart, a thought bubble saying “May I be guided by my deepest truth.” The title “The Quiet Return” and the quote “Alignment is the quiet return to what is true and essential” appear beside her. The scene is calm and reflective, emphasizing inner alignment.

Reception

Minimalist black-and-white drawing of Norma with closed eyes and a gentle smile, sitting with a pen at her cheek as a faucet labeled “The Muse Is In” drips into a pool above her head, creating ripples. She wears a red shirt against a black-and-white split background, symbolizing quiet receptivity and inspiration.

Breaking the Pull of it

Norma is shown as a marionette with strings attached to her limbs, held by a large abstract “it” figure above. As she takes a step, the strings appear to loosen, symbolizing her breaking free from internal control.

Don’t Measure Up to it

Norma stands barefoot beside a tall measuring-stick version of the abstract “it,” her head bowed as she fails to reach its markings. The quote reads: “Some standards aren’t meant to be met—they’re meant to be questioned.

Stop Carrying it with You

Norma walks barefoot with a large black backpack containing the “it” symbol. She turns her head to look back at it, suggesting awareness of the emotional burden she carries.

The Burden of it

Norma, wearing a red shirt and black pants, is hunched under the symbolic figure “it” resting heavily on her back. The background is black on the left and white on the right, with the quote: “Some things we carry were never meant to be ours.

Stop Sitting on It

Norma sits on top of a large abstract “it” symbol, holding a to-do list and looking contemplative. The background is dark behind her and bright white in front, representing procrastination and delayed action.

Set in Motion

Norma pushes against a circle of falling dominoes that loop back toward her, symbolizing karma and the return of actions.

Left Behind

Norma stands alone in white space holding a suitcase, while a line of faceless figures in black space walk away from her and board a train, symbolizing exclusion and disconnection.

Chasing it

Norma runs across a white field toward a large, abstract “it” symbol floating in a black background. Her hand is outstretched but not touching it, symbolizing pursuit and distance.

Manufactured it

Norma sits thoughtfully in a red shirt, eyes closed, as a conveyor belt manufactures identical "it" figures in her mind. The dark background emphasizes repeated thought and the illusion of truth.

Outside the Lines

Norma stands alone in a white panel while three bracketed figures appear together on a black background, symbolizing exclusion through social boundaries.
