I AM

I AM

Take away all that
can betaken away.

That whichcannot be
taken way is who you are.


From my journal . . .

I take away that which I am not. 

I am not my stuff. I am not my fleeting emotions. I am not my transactions. I am not even my name, Diane — a name given at birth. 

Reference to myself as  “I am such and such” are transitory states of being. After I take away that which I am not,  only one name for my Self remains “I AM.”
