Norma sits cross-legged on the ground in a red shirt and black pants, gently touching the earth with one hand while looking downward. The illustration reads, “The Life That Holds Me” and “I am not separate from what sustains me.”

The Life That Holds Me

I am not separate from what sustains me.

Insight

I am learning that I am not separate from the life that sustains me. I do not have to create every source of support or carry everything on my own. There is a connection between who I am and the world I inhabit, between what I give and what I receive. When I reach out and touch what is already here, I am reminded that belonging is not something I must continually establish. I am part of something larger, and I can allow myself to be supported by it.

Reflection

Where in my life might I recognize the support that is already present rather than feeling I must create or carry it myself?
